Chennai to Have Door-to-Door Ration Distribution on August 4, 5, and 6

The Additional Registrar of Cooperative Societies has announced that door-to-door distribution of ration items will be conducted across Chennai on August 4, 5, and 6.

According to a press release issued in this regard, under the scheme for distributing Public Distribution System (PDS) goods by visiting homes, essential items are being delivered directly to the residences of senior citizens above 65 years of age and persons with disabilities.

For the month of August, vendors from 1,346 fair price shops operating under the cooperative department have been ordered to conduct door-to-door distribution of essential commodities on the 4th, 5th, and 6th across 19 zones in Chennai:
