CM Vijay Inspects Daimler, Saint-Gobain, and Nissan Plants in Kanchipuram District

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay conducted personal inspection visits to private factories in Chennai, Sriperumbudur, and Oragadam on Monday.

Daimler Buses India – Oragadam

At the SIPCOT Industrial Development Centre in Oragadam, Kanchipuram district, Daimler Buses India operates a sprawling 400-acre manufacturing facility producing commercial vehicles under the BharatBenz and Mercedes-Benz brand names, including fully built buses and bus chassis. The company has an existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu government. Chief Minister Vijay toured and reviewed operations at this plant today.

Saint-Gobain Glass Plant – Sriperumbudur

Prior to the Oragadam visit, the Chief Minister inspected the facility of French multinational Saint-Gobain at Mambakkam, near Sriperumbudur. The company, which has also signed an MoU with the Tamil Nadu government, has expanded its world-class glass manufacturing campus. CM Vijay reviewed the expanded operations at the facility.

Nissan

Following these visits, Chief Minister Vijay also inspected the Nissan automobile plant in the region.
