With the TVK alliance parties' consultation meeting scheduled for tomorrow, left-wing parties have now been formally invited to participate.
As Tamil Nadu's political atmosphere remains charged, a major alliance consultation meeting will be held tomorrow at Kovalam, near Chennai, under the leadership of Chief Minister Vijay, on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).
Ministers N. Anand and Adhav Arjuna have been personally visiting alliance party leaders to hand-deliver invitations to the meeting. As part of this outreach, the two ministers also personally met with left-wing party leaders and extended invitations for them to attend the consultation.
Invitations had already been issued to existing coalition partners including the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK), and the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML).
The meeting tomorrow is expected to deliberate on strategy for facing the upcoming by-elections and local body elections. Additionally, reports indicate that a significant discussion will take place on giving a new name to the TVK-led coalition.
