The DMK has declared that protests will continue until action is taken against Minister Sarathkumar.

As stated in DMK's official X (Twitter) post:

Under the guidance of party president M.K. Stalin, a massive protest rally was held across Tamil Nadu today by the party's Student Wing, condemning the TVK government for failing to take action against Minister Sarathkumar — who allegedly used banned substances and posted the incident as a reel — and demanding his immediate removal from office.

Tens of thousands of party members participated in the demonstrations, including district, city, union, area, and town-level party secretaries, administrators, Student Wing officials, and Members of the Legislative Assembly and Parliament.

Despite police denying permission at several locations, protesters broke through barriers and carried out the demonstrations with determination.

Thousands of members of the public also gathered to show support for the party's protest.

Thousands of participants — including district, city, union, area, and town secretaries, administrators, Student Wing officials, allied wing officials, MLAs, and MPs — were arrested in connection with today's protest.

The Student Wing stated that their protests will continue until a proper investigation is conducted and appropriate action is taken against the minister who used the banned substance.
